Isabel Lee

Originally hailing from the south, after more than 35 years her roots are firmly planted in Alaskan soil and the Anchorage legal community. With a degree in criminal justice and psychology and having worked for a Superior Court judge, state representative, and a prominent appellate family law attorney, Isabel Lee has joined the firm of Mendel & Associates as a family law paralegal. Her legal experience has been primarily in family law, but also includes discrimination investigation, personal injury, and employment litigation.

In her spare time, Isabel enjoys the great Alaskan outdoors: fishing, boating, whale viewing, and birding. On the more domestic side, she is an avid supporter of the Alaskan Farmers Markets and has earned numerous blue ribbons at the Alaska State Fair in the home canning division, most notably for her southern sweet-hot pickles. So far, her informal catering has included four funerals and a wedding.

For the past twelve years, she has been a member of a weekend art group practicing watercolor and sumi-e, and has participated in several First Friday art shows.

Isabel has one teenage daughter, one lively Dalmatian, and one loving fiancé who keep her entertained and well-occupied.
